The theory of function of a complex variable also called for brevity complex variables or complex analysis, is one of the beautiful as well as useful branches of mathematics. Although originating in an atmosphere of mystery, suspicion and distrust, as evidenced by the terms imaginary and complex present in the literature, it was finally placed on a sound foundation in the 19th century through the efforts of the Cauchy, Riemann, Weierstrass, Gauss and other great mathematicians. This book is designed for use as a supplement to all current standards texts or as a textbook for a formal course in complex variable theory and applications. It should also be of considerable value t;o those taking course in mathematics, many other fields and Engineering.  Moreover, each chapter of this book starts with a clear statement of pertinent definitions, principles and theorems together with illustrative and other descriptive material. This is followed by graded sets of solved and supplementary problems.

Compared to other standard circuit textbooks which are available out there, this one has done an excellent job. It is written in a readable style that is so rare among textbooks in this field. The flow from topic to topic is straightforwardly continuous and the reading can even be very enjoyable (especially the introduction to each chapter). I very much wish there were more circuit textbooks written like this one, so that you can read and learn by yourself. But very unfortunately, most of them are extremely unreadable and so un-transparent in their presentation of fundamental concepts. For this reason, I think, Alexander's book deserves even more credit.t explains the concepts very clearly and maybe used for signals too, when studying Fourier and Laplace transforms. The authors do a superb job and make challenging concepts sound easy for the student. Extremely organized and well prepared book.

Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems by William E. Boyce, Richard C. DiPrima

This book is based on ordinary and Partial differential equations and boundary value problems. This book is primarily designed for undergraduate students of mathematics, science and engineering, who typically take a course on differential equations during their first or second year of study. The main prerequisite for reading the book is a working knowledge of calculus, gained from a normal two or three semester course sequence or its equivalent. Some familiarity with matrices will also be helpful in the chapters on systems of differential equations.  With respect to content, we provide this flexibility by making sure that, so far as possible, individual chapters are independent of each other. Thus, after the basic parts of the first three chapters are completed (roughly Sections 1.1 through 1.3, 2.1 through 2.5, and 3.1 through 3.5), the selection of additional topics, and the order and depth in which they are covered, is at the discretion of the instructor. Chapters 4 through 11 are essentially independent of each other, except that Chapter 7 should precede Chapter 9 and that Chapter 10 should precede Chapter 11. This means that there are multiple pathways through the book and many different combinations have been used effectively with earlier editions.

Fourier and Laplace transforms are examples of mathematical operations which can play an important role in the analysis of mathematical models for problems originating from a broad spectrum of fields. These transforms are certainly not new, but the strong development of digital computers has given a new impulse to both the applications and the theory. The material in this book is subdivided into parts. Each part consists of a number of coherent chapters covering a specific part of the field of Fourier and Laplace transforms. Sections contain such items as definitions, theorems, examples, and so on. These are clearly marked in the left margin, often with a number attached to them. For almost all theorems proofs are given following the heading Proof. The end of a proof is indicated by a right-aligned black square: . In some cases it may be wise to skip the proof of a theorem in a first reading, in order not to lose the main line of argument. The proof can be studied later on. Examples are sometimes included in the running text, but often they are presented separately. In the latter case they are again clearly marked in the left margin (with possibly a number, if this is needed as a reference later on). The end of an example is indicated by a right-aligned black triangle: . Mathematical formulas that are displayed on a separate line may or may not be numbered. Only formulas referred to later on in the text have a number (right-aligned and in brackets).

This book is mainly focus on Differential Equations and Modeling application. The authors of this book tried to write this book easily for better understand of the students. But Beginner level students have been facing some problems to solve this math because most of the section are formed with Partial Differential, First order Differential Equations, Second Order or Higher Order Differential Equations and Boundary Equations problems. So that If you have don't have any previous idea about differential method you are not able to understand the math of this book and if you don't able to solve these differential problem from these book , you can't learn the modeling application which are solved using differential method. Moreover,  In this book, Authors do not leave much space for explanations and examples, the explanations this book does provide are extremely difficult to follow, and the examples given are mostly skipping over a majority of the steps involved in solving the problems. For this reason, Beginners level students needs a guide or decent teacher to helps you solve this math. On top of everything, You must have interest in learning. If you want to learn something than you have to practicing the math more and more time. More practicing makes a student perfect.
